Curves M/W In 8/5/05

  • Curves or Other?: UPS
  • Energy Lv(1-5)l: 5
  • Current Weight: 218

Well as I expected, didnt lose any inches but did lose 1% body fat and 1 lb bringing me to 218 according to curves scale. but a loss is a loss  and maintaining is better then gaining!

Ive decided to add running to my weekly scedule starting next week. I can use the treadmill here at the complex. Still trying to get use to my new schedule with work so If i dont make it to curves atleast i am running. I am going to start off slow with a 1/4 then add a 1/4 everyday so by the end of the week i should be at a mile. I will let you know how it goes, I feel good about this goal and that it is a reasonable one. I have felt an increase in my stamina and strength after 3 weeks with UPS, When i went to curves the other day i had to work my butt off just to get my heart rate to my fat burning percentage.

till next time

God Bless

Hey there Chrystal!
Checkingin on you!!! Way to go! A goal is a GOAL!
Personally I will take inch loss or fat percentage loss anyday over a movement on the scale, because those are what are truly VISIBLE. We put way too much emphasis on the scale. Its a marker, but definitely not the end all be all. To let you know, I weighed 131 at one point in my life when I lost weight by dieting, and then a few years later I was on the Body for Life plan and was weighing 150. Well, let me tell you, from the pictures there is NO COMPARISON as to when I looked better - 150lbs all the way!! And my inches were actually smaller - go figure!! And I'm talking abut almost a 20 pounds difference here! :O THat's when I learnt that the scale does not say it all. Mind you, of course I'm still a slave to it... :D lol, I won't kid myself that progress on it doesn't matter in the least, but I certainly know that its a lot more about how you feel and all the other markers as well....
Hang in and good luck to you! :)

Just remember you can do all things thru Christ who strenghthens you. I too am over weight and am wanting to loose weight and firm my body. Curves is a great program and I'm very proud of you for taking the first steps towards a healthy life style. Keep up the good work. Do you mind if I add you to my friends list? I'm a single, Christian mom and I would love to keep up with you and some of your friends and hopefully you all can motivate me also? Shalom! <*))))><<
